Meet Mittens, our inspirator in the creation of the Drizzle Stick Faucet Fountain For Cats! Mittens is a tortoise shell tabby polydactyl (has extra toes), her front paws look like fluffy mittens! We adopted her from our local humane society when she was 4 months old. Soon after bringing her home we realized she wasn’t drinking water from her dish at all, but she would come running every time a faucet was turned on & want to drink directly from the running tap! We weren’t exactly pleased with her choice as it involved jumping up on the kitchen/bathroom counters and licking right off the faucet, but this was her preferred water source. We even left it dripping slowly when no one was home to turn on the faucet!
We knew this wasn’t the ideal situation for many reasons so we purchased a running water cat fountain from our pet store. After a few weeks of encouraging her to use it, she still preferred the faucets. We tried a couple more versions from the pet store but she just didn’t take to them either. They just weren’t exactly what she was looking for, she was really hooked on the faucet! So, in our quest to find a better alternative, we created the Drizzle Stick Faucet Fountain For Cats. Mittens LOVES hers, she is drinking more water than ever, and it’s so fun to watch her drink from it!

* The Drizzle Stick Faucet Fountain For Cats *
is a faucet fountain for your cat that runs continuously, so there is always a fresh flow of running water right out of their favorite place to drink, a faucet! It is VERY simple to use, EASY to clean, and NO expensive filters! The Drizzle Stick Faucet Fountain stands on its own, it just needs to be near an outlet in order plug in the submersible pump.
It consists of:
1. A super high quality, durable 2 QT Speckled Enamelware Drinking Water Bucket in White with a wooden handle. Handle detaches for easy cleaning.
2. Submersible low voltage pump, with a 2 prong transformer. Cord detaches from the transformer for easy cleaning. Oil free, magnetic rotor, adjustable. Used in aquariums and pet fountains found in pet stores.
3. Drizzle Stick made of durable high quality clear acrylic (does not leach chemicals or BPA!)
4. Faucet topper-a standard hot/cold drinking water faucet made of lightweight celcon
*Also included is an easy to follow instruction sheet with pictures for easy assembly and cleaning.
How it works:
The Drizzle Stick Faucet Fountain for cats is very simple to set up and maintain.
1. Fill the bucket with clean fresh drinking water.
2. Attach the Faucet Topper to the Drizzle Stick, then into the pump. (this makes it one unit)
3. Suction the pump “unit” to the bottom of the pail filled with water, plug it in!
The pump draws water up the center of the Drizzle Stick into the Faucet Topper, then down over the top of the Drizzle Stick for continuous water flow. Your cat can lick water directly off the Drizzle Stick tube (this is what Mittens loves to do, see picture!), or from the bucket, or both. Whichever they prefer! As the water level goes down, add a little more fresh water. When it’s time for a full cleaning:
Unplug the pump & take the whole works to the sink! Everything is washable in warm soapy water including the pump! Just make sure to keep the plug end out of the water. Rinse well, reassemble, and you’re good to go.
